About Us

Archie Alleyne Music Academy is an ideal music program for children and youth to build a solid foundation and prepare for a career in the music industry.  We see music education as a tool instrumental in building character and developing skills that carry over into other fields.  Our program is aimed at reaching children and youths in low-income, “at-risk” and underserved regions in Toronto. By offering free music education in partnership with community centres and Black-owned businesses we are committed to creating an infrastructure that will have a positive impact on communities while at the same time creating meaningful jobs for musicians.

The Archie Alleyne Music Academy is a program supported by Brandon Street Community Development Project and Heritage Canada.

Brandon Street Community Development Project is a registered Canadian charity founded in 1987. We are a Black-led organization that is focused on raising the quality of life for Black children, youth and their families. We support educational and arts programs that create opportunities for growth and enrichment in the lives of people within our community.
